What is an India Medical Visa?
An India Medical Visa (MV) is issued to foreign nationals traveling to India specifically for medical treatment at recognized and specialized hospitals or healthcare institutions.

Medical Attendant Visa (MX)

FRRO Registration
If your medical visa or stay exceeds 180 days, registration with the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) is mandatory within 14 days of arrival in India. Applications must be submitted online via the official portal: indianfrro.gov.in.
Pakistani Nationals Special Requirements
Важно: Under the Indian Foreigners Rules, Pakistani nationals traveling on a medical visa cannot apply for an e-Visa and must apply via physical Indian Missions. They are subject to mandatory police reporting and registration within 24 hours of arrival at the designated point of entry, and visa validity is restricted to specific cities.
Visa Extension
Medical Visas can be extended within India based on treatment requirements and certified hospital recommendations through the online FRRO platform. You do not need to leave the country to apply for an extension.
